JOB PURPOSE

Provide planning, development, and implementation of outreach activities and initiatives aimed at building up the national donor pool for the National Blood Programme. Working in close partnership with the key stakeholders from Blood Services Group (BSG) and Singapore Red Cross (SRC), the incumbent will engage educational institutions, corporate, government, and community organisations through outreach activities and initiatives. In addition, she/he will recruit, mobilise and engage eligible volunteers to support relevant public education and outreach activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute outreach activities such as roadshows, talks, guided tours in the bloodbanks etc. with the aim of building up the national donor pool for the National Blood Programme.
  • Conceptualise, plan and execute outreach activities to target audience (e.g members of public, students, staff) to raise awareness.
  • Reach out to community partners (especially educational institutions) to arrange talks and learning journey to the bloodbanks.
  • Handle the end-to-end programme management for all outreach activities and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners and engage stakeholders for various initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations to develop and implement outreach strategies
  • Work closely with the operation team to engage internal and key stakeholders e.g educational institutions, corporate, government, and community organisations through outreach activities and initiatives to advocate on the National Blood Programme
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop collaterals, EDM, banners etc. for outreach activities and initiatives
  • Conduct relevant training to volunteers on blood donor recruitment to equip them with the relevant knowledge when volunteering for the outreach activities
  • Prepare reports and provide prompt reporting to the management
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in any discipline

Experience:

  • At least Three (3) to Four (4) years of relevant experience in a relevant role
  • Candidate(s) with a history of relevant voluntary/internship experience will be added advantage
  • Candidate(s) with more experience may be considered as Senior Executive

Required experience, skills, and knowledge

  • Demonstrated interest in the non-profit/charity sector
  • Familiarity with the blood donation landscape and donor behaviour in Singapore
  • Undertake sales, marketing/communications, account management and business planning activities
  • Experience in project or event management will be advantageous
  • Able to deliver talks to large audience and conduct guided tours for diverse groups of people
  • Ability to prioritise work responsibilities/multitask, organise own work schedule
  • Think on the feet, make decisions and carry out responsibilities without the need for direct supervision
  • Communicate, negotiate, and engage professionally and confidently with people from all walks of life
  • Self-motivated, responsible, adopts a proactive approach to every aspect of work
  • Manage, grow, and utilise a team of volunteers from diverse backgrounds and with different interests/skill sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor key messages and adopt different approaches for different audiences
  • Able to deliver a high level of customer service skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Business-level proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Able to multi-task and work under tight timelines
  • Willing to work on weekends/public holidays/outside office hours as and when required
