Role Overview:

The Senior Network Engineer (Data Center & Protocol Analysis) drives network protocol innovation, standardization, and technical leadership in data centre networks, particularly for optical interconnection and AI applications. The role ensures that the company's protocol technology leads industry standards and supports high-performance interconnected chip networks.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a seasoned expert to shape the future of data center interconnection. You will:

  • Lead Protocol Strategy & Development: Design and plan cutting-edge network protocols (Ethernet, UEC, UAlink) to support our strategic vision for AI and high-performance computing.
  • Standardization & Industry Influence: Champion Global Standards: Represent the company in international standard organizations (e.g., IEEE, IETF) to establish our innovations as industry benchmarks.
  • Drive Technical Breakthroughs: Architect innovative protocol solutions for optical interconnection and AI clusters, solving complex challenges in ultra-large-scale networks.
  • Provide Cross-Functional Leadership: Spearhead collaboration between chip design, validation, and product R&D teams to ensure technology alignment from silicon to system.
  • Build a Technology Ecosystem: Develop talent, create knowledge systems, and enhance the company's influence as a thought leader in protocol technology.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or related fields, Master's Degree/Bachelor's Degree in such majors with rich relevant experience
  • More than 5 years' experience in protocol design and standardization, experienced in leading protocol standardization project in optical interconnection field
  • Deep expertise in network protocols such as Ethernet, UEC, UAlink, able to design and optimize complex protocol architecture is a strong plus
  • Demonstrable experience contributing to international technology standards bodies
  • Strong understanding of optical interconnection technologies and AI networking bottlenecks
  • Excellent English writing and negotiation skills, able to lead the technical proposals in international standard conference
  • Strategical thinking and lead a team, with sharp perception on technology trend in the industry
