[What the role is]

[What you will be working on]

·       Conduct and support high-throughput screening (HCS) experiments using automated platforms to evaluate the effects of natural compounds on cell proliferation.

·       Develop and optimize serum-free cell culture protocols for cultivated meat applications, including expansion, seeding, and staining in multi-well formats.

·       Perform image analysis using HCS software and contribute to algorithm refinement for growth metric quantification.

·       Assist in the data-driven selection and curation of natural compound libraries for large-scale bioactivity screening.

·       Carry out in vitro assays such as growth curves, gene/protein expression analysis, and cell differentiation studies for hit validation.

·       Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, consumables, and databases including but not limited to cell culture and HCS.

·       Collaborate closely with industry partners on joint research objectives and milestones.

·       Train and mentor student trainees working on various projects, e.g., cultivated meat-related projects at Future Foods Domain.

·       Contribute to research documentation, technical reports, and the preparation of disclosures for IP filing.

·       Ensure all experiments adhere to ethical guidelines, biosafety regulations, and institutional protocols.

·       Carry out administrative duties to support research operations.

[What we are looking for]

·       Qualification in suitable disciplines including biotechnology, food technology, life sciences or its equivalent from recognized institutions.

·       At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a related field; experience in stem cell culture and/or high-content screening preferred.

·       Familiarity with serum-free media development and cell-based assay design is advantageous.

·       Industrial experience is a plus.

·       Resourceful, driven, able to work independently to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Demonstrated capacity to work within a team.
