Set in 15 acres of lush greenery just minutes from the vibrant Orchard Road shopping belt, the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is a tranquil, sophisticated urban retreat whether travelling for business or leisure. We are looking for a F&B COE Training Manager, to join our team
Job Responsibilities
Design and implement a cohesive cluster-wide F&B training roadmap aligned with Shangri-La standards, Forbes service benchmarks, HACCP requirements, and guest feedback insights.
Customize training programs to reflect each property's brand identity, service expectations, and operational nuances.
Facilitate both classroom and on-the-job training across all F&B areas including restaurants, bars, IRD, banquets, and kitchens.
Deliver technical and soft skills training, covering service sequences, upselling techniques, wine service, and system usage.
Ensure SOPs are clearly understood and consistently applied across all outlets to maintain service excellence and operational consistency.
Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions and support F&B leaders in coaching and developing their teams.
Track and report training effectiveness using KPIs, audits, guest feedback (e.g., Medallia), and maintain monthly reports for senior leadership.
Collaborate across properties to support events, launches, and pre-opening initiatives, while sharing best practices to drive consistency and excellence.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in F&B operations and/or training, preferably in luxury hospitality.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to design and deliver engaging and practical training programs.
- Deep understanding of F&B service standards, guest expectations, and operational workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Certification in training, coaching, or instructional design is an advantage.
