Systems Test Engineer (Hardware)

Location: Chai Chee, Singapore

Employment Type: 1-year contract (renewable based on performance)

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts — 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am

Shift pattern: 3/4-day rotation = either 3 days on, 4 days off or 4 days on, 3 days off (rotates every 2 weeks; includes nights/weekends)

Compensation: ~ SGD 4,000–4,500/month (basic), commensurate with experience

About the role

Own and scale our System Level Test (SLT) regression infrastructure for client and data center platforms. You'll partner with firmware, software, product, and test teams to surface complex issues early, shorten integration time, and raise product quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive and develop SLT test regression infrastructure to validate weekly FW/SW releases before integration into SLT programs.
  • Pre-emptively surface complex/novel firmware & software issues; lead debug to resolution to improve SLT quality and integration speed.
  • Perform engineering evaluations/analysis to close production issues.
  • Influence technical decisions with significant impact on the final product.
  • Develop and apply new debug techniques to deepen Product/Test Engineering capability.
  • Mentor junior engineers; upskill the team in low-level system debug across client & data center product families.

What you bring

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; independent and resourceful.
  • Proficient understanding of x86 CPU and GPU architectures; broad knowledge of DDR, PCIe, USB bus protocols.
  • Solid grasp of SoC design and power management features.
  • Experience with post-silicon electrical & mixed-signal circuitry.
  • Hands-on with analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related debug tools.
  • Programming/scripting proficiency: C, C++, Python, Java, Perl, Ruby.
  • Proficient with Windows, Unix, and Linux.
  • Clear written & verbal communication; effective with geographically distributed teams.
  • 4–6 years relevant industry experience.
  • Comfortable with rotating night/weekend shifts.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data center infrastructure.
