Saxo Bank A/S is expanding its Financial Crime Prevention Quality Assurance Team throughout the Asia Pacific region. To further strengthen the quality of client onboarding and renewal processes, the team is seeking candidates who will conduct Quality Assurance tests and inspections across offices located in Singapore and Japan.

The selected candidates will be based in the Singapore office and will play a crucial role in supporting the team's new objectives, focusing on enhancing operational standards and ensuring robust quality controls within the region.

Job Descriptions:

The Quality Assurance Analyst for APAC region at Saxo Bank is responsible for setting quality standards, identifying issues in onboarding and ongoing due diligence (ODD), and delivering detailed reports. The role involves developing and refining controls, designing testing frameworks, and monitoring deliverables over the next two years and beyond. Collaboration with stakeholders—including AML, KYC, compliance, financial framework, and senior management teams—is central, with a focus on providing expert advice, risk assessment, and actionable improvement plans. Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and business insights is required to identify and address risks. The position demands clear communication, adaptability, and occasional travel to headquarters in Copenhagen, as well as engagement with a broad stakeholder network.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and perform quality tests on private, corporate, and institutional clients in line with AML policies and departmental procedures within set timeframes.

  • Produces reports containing quality assurance results and associated metrics using established procedures.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, business changes, internal regulatory policy and procedural changes.

  • Identify quality gaps and communicate these to appropriate management and business owners.

  • Analyze gathered information to develop recommendations for policy and procedure improvements to ensure continued compliance with Saxo Bank's Policy and regulations.

  • Potentially meets clients and may conduct site visits (local and international) as required for KYC/CDD purposes.

  • Ensure that all team activities are conducted in compliance with Saxo Bank's AML Policy and applicable regulations.

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Line Manager, including ad hoc tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient departmental operations.

Qualifications of a Quality Assurance Analyst

  • At least 3 years' experience within relevant AML-CFT, KYC sphere

  • Proven track record within quality assurance

  • Broad AML and KYC experience across Asia Pacific.

  • Working knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality assurance

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards

  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills

  • Stakeholder management competences

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Candidates should have worked with at least two client segments: private, corporate, or institutional.

  • Certifications such as CAMS/ACAMS, ICA or similar are beneficial but not essential

  • High level of proficiency in English

  • Additional Language Expertise: Proficiency in Japanese is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
