POSITION OVERVIEW

The Junior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial operations for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with international clients, applying global accounting standards and ensuring financial compliance across jurisdictions.

Candidates with prior experience in accounting firms serving international clients are strongly encouraged to apply. Please note that this role is open only to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports according to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).

  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.

Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Bookkeeping process of the payable and receivable invoices.

  • Perform bank operations import and reconciliation process.

  • Monthly reporting to the clients with respect to their deadlines.

Payroll:

  • Assist with payroll process (Payslips, CPF, AIS/IR8A submissions).

Compliance & Taxation:

  • Preparation and filing of Quarterly GST.

  • Assist with tax computation and filing of Corporate Income Tax

  • Liaison with the clients, external auditors, and government agencies.

Client Support:

  • Provide timely support on payments, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for accounting-related queries from clients.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

  • Handle ad-hoc tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of hands-on accounting experience in the accounting services.

  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles (SFRS) and practices.

  • Knowledge of the consolidation process would also be appreciated.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. (e.g., XERO, Sage)

  • Good command of English and communication skills, written competency and verbal skills are highly valued.
