Senior Engineer

Reporting to the Group Facilities Management institution lead, you will oversee the AirCon Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Mechanical System serving the Hospital Premises. This includes, but is not limited to, working closely with service partners on Preventive Maintenance, Capex Projects, and all contracts and works by the Specialist vendor.

1. Manage the operation, maintenance, modification, and replacement of hospital facilities, M&E services, and non-clinical equipment.
2. Ensure outsourced maintenance agents meet KPIs and maintain building systems' functionality and serviceability.
3. Audit and monitor the standards of maintenance services provided by vendors and outsourced teams.
4. Support and manage cyclical and improvement projects for the department and hospital.
5. Oversee outsourced M&E team performance and ensure maintenance standards and scheduled preventive maintenance are upheld.
6. Monitor the performance of critical systems and coordinate improvements and upgrades through MOH and AH initiatives.
7. Serve as Project Manager for hospital improvement works, including renovations and retrofitting.
8. Provide advisory support for system failures, troubleshooting, and system replacements.
9. Prepare technical specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and work schedules for projects.
10. Support external consultants and oversee inspections and project acceptance activities.
11. Ensure safety practices and conduct inspections to uphold standards related to infection control and patient safety.
12. Coordinate prompt service recovery for equipment and system breakdowns.
13. Raise works requisitions for breakdown and replacement works.
14. Assist in fire safety, security planning, and infrastructure development projects.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the HOD.

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing M&E services in healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Hands-on M&E knowledge; fire safety certification advantageous.
• Leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
• Customer service orientation and proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
