We are now recruiting for a Charterer to join our global chartering team in Singapore. This role will support the Chartering team and collaborate closely with various commodity business units to deliver safe, timely and efficient shipping services while navigating through a dynamic shipping market.

- Develop a sound understanding of mine-to-customer supply chain interdependencies.
- Manage vessel traffic flow, contract performance, vessel nominations, regular market reports and accurate contract data entry.
- Support projects, administrative, value add initiatives.
- Safeguard the business by always acting within governance frameworks and compliance principles.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Economics/ Business/ Maritime or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Trading/Commercial role is preferred.
- Clear communication and able to collaborate constructively in a team.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and IMOS platforms.
- Independent, driven, and curious to learn.

Where you will be working
Headquartered in Singapore, and integrated with Rio Tinto's assets, hubs, and offices globally, our Commercial group works hand-in-hand with our product groups to ensure both the amount and types of products we produce meet our customer's needs, and manage the trade-off between volumes, quality, cost and capital expenditure.
