THE ROLE:

We are the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team for Data Center Graphics (DCG) under the Product Engineering Organization, focused on delivering cutting-edge test solutions for AMD's next-generation processors powering high-performance computing, data centers, enterprise servers, and AI clusters.

In your role, you will lead the development and execution of NPI strategies aligned with business goals. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and market demands.

If you're seeking a fulfilling and challenging engineering career, this role offers the opportunity to define and drive System Level Test (SLT) solutions. You will address emerging technology needs and NPI milestones, optimizing for test time, yield, cost, and quality. This leadership role requires working closely with architecture, design, product and test engineering, customer quality, software, and platform teams to deliver balanced, cost-effective solutions.

Join us and collaborate with AMD's world-class engineering teams across the globe.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for someone with strong technical, analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrating the characteristic of an independent and resourceful individual.

The applicant must have a proficient understanding of x86 CPU and GPU architecture and functionality, as well as a broad understanding of various industry standard bus protocols, such as DDR, PCIe, and USB.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute product development strategies aligned with business goals, from concept through launch and beyond.
  • Communicate product vision and strategy effectively across all stakeholder levels.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and business objectives.
  • Drive performance tracking and customer feedback integration to improve Time-to-Market, Time-to-Margin, and product quality.
  • Oversee manufacturing ramp-up activities, collaborating directly with Foundry, ATMP JV/OSAT, and Supply Chain partners.
  • Develop and implement SLT (System Level Test) solutions to meet cost, quality, and milestone targets.
  • Solve complex, novel engineering challenges and lead process innovations with significant product impact.
  • Conduct technical evaluations to resolve production issues and architect SLT data collection flows in manufacturing.
  • Influence key technical decisions and provide leadership or consultation on major product development initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and elevate team capabilities in low-level system debug for AMD's data center product families.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven leadership in dynamic, fast-paced environments with over 10 years of industry experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across geographically distributed teams.
  • Deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and product development cycles.
  • Skilled in managing mid-sized teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Proficient in IC technologies, fabrication processes, and customer applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and high-volume production (HVM).
  • Hands-on experience with GPU and x86 architectures, SoC design, and power management.
  • Familiar with SOC, firmware, and software interactions across Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Programming and scripting proficiency in Java, Shell, Perl, Ruby, and Python.
  • Experience with advanced technologies such as High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), High-Speed I/O (HSIO), and data center infrastructure.
