Description

The Senior System Engineer is responsible to monitor and resolve all issues related to company IT & related systems (hosted on premise and on cloud).

Act as a single point of contact for all reported IT & related system issues and queries related.

Take full responsibilities to escalate and work with IT/Systems vendors to resolve reported issues within SLA.

The System Engineer will assist the IT Infrastructure Manager to maintain, support and optimized key functional areas such as network, server, data & telecommunications system, video conferencing equipment and security.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

IT Support and Management

· Ensure the smooth running of all IT & related systems (on premise and on cloud)

· Take the lead on all IT & related system incidents and problem management

· Assist IT Infrastructure Manager on infrastructure investment and support budgets (including system license, maintenance and related IT support costs)

· Working closely with IT application team to ensure compliance to information security audit requirements and provide IT technical assistance wherever necessary

· Ensure proper IT infrastructure policies, standards, procedures and risk controls are followed during issues resolution

· Monitor performance and ensure the availability of critical systems.

· Maintain detailed records of system configurations, incidents, and maintenance logs.

· Implement security measures to protect data, systems, and networks.

· Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Delivery management

· Project manage implementation and deployment of infrastructure/systems in accordance with corporate agreed priorities and deadlines

· Drive good project management practices and governance within the IT and vendor teams

· Document system configurations, policies, and procedures.

· Provide technical input during planning and budgeting processes.

Outsourcing and vendor management

· Assist IT Infrastructure Manager to monitor all outsource infrastructure/system vendors performance against agreed SOW and SLA

Requirements

· Diploma in Computer Engineering or related

· At least 6-10 years of working experience with systems (on premise and cloud technologies)

· Experience in one or more of the following domains: Microsoft Windows & Servers technologies, Cisco networking, WAN technologies (SD-WAN), Security, Virtualization, Storage, Backup/Disaster Recovery, Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud based technologies

· Hands-on experience in supporting PC/notebook hardware, network printer, MS Windows and standard software (MS office, Antivirus, internet browser) and Outlook client, desktop setup, wireless, Active directory, VPN setup/troubleshooting

· Exposure to Engineering industry environment (preferred)

· Good communicator with strong problem solving and analysis skills

· Ability to work in a team environment to engage and motivate team members

· Positive attitude and able to work well with culturally and geographically diverse teams.
