JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENT:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership, along with a commitment to excellence in quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking:
- Lead and manage daily kitchen operations and culinary team.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
- Address customer feedback and take corrective action as needed.
- Maintain cost control and budgeting for food, labor, and operational expenses.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Proven experience in preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen equipment, and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Knowledge of food cost control and kitchen budgeting.
- Creativity in menu and recipe development.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot and noisy environment.
- Stamina to handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
