Job Description Summary

Candidate will be responsible for a first of its kind special purpose machine.

Primary Responsibilities and attributes:

  • Candidate will be running a special purpose machine, first of its kind
  • Candidate needs to have a great sense of responsibility, and the motivation to constantly learn and improve.
  • Able to set up, operate and maintain minimum 5 axis CNC milling machine independently without supervision
  • Setup, operate and maintain all measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for making accurate inspection checks
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Able to work in accordance to technical instructions and engineering drawings
  • Perform simple troubleshooting of machines
  • Adhere to all applicable EHS rules and regulations and employee's EHS responsibilities
  • Experience with 6 axis Yaskawa robots will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of MIG welding or valid MIG welding certificate will be advantageous

Qualification/Requirements:

  • NITEC/Higher NITEC qualification or equivalent in Precision Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 4 years working experience in a Precision Engineering environment
  • Minimum ESS Workplace Literacy 5 and Numeracy Level 5
  • Able to set up, operate and maintain minimum 5 axis CNC milling machine independently without supervision
