Our client, a well-known Japanese company is currently looking for an Laboratory Analyst (Wastewater Treatment).

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out proper sampling of used water/waste samples, daily operation in-process and outgoing samples
  • To conduct any preparation of media and samples for further analysis such as distillation, sample incubation, buffers preparation, digestion and so on any required preparation for sample testing
  • To conduct analysis of pH, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, and so on as any tests assigned by researcher
  • Document and maintain all experiments, equipment, facility operation and maintenance, safety matter records
  • Searching for related technical and marketing information
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or Engineering (equivalent in O Level with high experience in the relevant field to be considered
  • More than 3 years of working experience preferred
  • Specialized knowledge, e.g.: Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently
  • A good team player with interpersonal skills (gentle, considerate, and patient)
  • Fundamental knowledge of hazardous materials, safety management and skill in data arrangement and analysis
