Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a project team supporting critical defence and security systems. You will partner with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Technical Leads to develop, test, and deploy system and network infrastructure as part of project implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next breakthrough in national defence and security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve incidents within SLA timeframe and perform root cause analysis.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Operation Lead, Service Delivery Manager, or OEM/vendor for technical support.
  • Implement service and change requests, ensuring completion within agreed SLAs.
  • Deploy approved patches, releases, and configuration changes in line with change requests.
  • Ensure proper backup and system recovery procedures are in place and verified through regular testing.
  • Maintain configuration and integrity of administered systems.
  • Support integration of new technologies into existing environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cloud or infrastructure operations.
  • Dynamic, customer-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Familiarity or experience with the following technologies is advantageous:
  • Vulnerability Management Systems
  • Reverse Proxy
  • Patch Management Tools / Repositories
  • Active Directory (MS AD, AWS AD, etc.)
  • Endpoint Protection (Desktop, Clients)
  • Enterprise Backup Solutions
  • Next-Generation Firewalls
  • Privileged Access / Identity Management
  • Infrastructure Automation Platforms
  • AWS Cloud Services
