Engagement Details

Location: Tuas Cresent

Working Hours: The WSH Officer is required to conduct four site visits per calendar month.

Duration per Visit: Each visit will typically last between three to four hours, depending on site conditions and requirements.

Experience Requirement: Candidates with prior experience in the chemical industry are preferred due to the nature of the operations.

Contract Duration: The initial engagement period will be three to six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

Scope of Work

The duties of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer will include the following:

  • Ensure the company's operations are aligned with relevant Singapore laws, Acts, Codes of Practice, and Singapore Standards for legal compliance.
  • Implement and periodically review the Risk Assessment program in accordance with the Risk Management Regulations 2007.
  • Develop, align, and implement a Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) in compliance with the WSH Act and applicable codes of practice.
  • Organize and facilitate WSH Committee meetings as required under the WSH Act.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify workplace hazards and close safety gaps.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Represent the client in matters involving government agencies, insurance companies, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and conduct safety-related training such as forklift safety awareness, noise hazard awareness, and respirator use.
  • Recommend approved training providers for mandatory safety training where applicable.
  • Provide guidance and support on the implementation of recommendations arising from the recent Singtel audit findings.
  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as stipulated under the WSH Act.
