Our client is looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants with prior experience inpatient care (3 rotating shifts) to join their inpatient care team in a public hospital setting. You will work closely with Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Support

  • Attend to patients' daily care needs, including bed-making, bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, skin care, lifting, positioning, transfer, ambulation, and transportation.

  • Support patients with elimination needs (bedpan, urinal, commode).
  • Provide oral feeding for patients on modified diets and fluid consistencies.
  • Document patient intake and output accurately.

  • Clinical Assistance

  • Perform vital signs monitoring, 12-lead ECG, blood glucose monitoring, and fall risk monitoring.

  • Collect and dispatch patient specimens (urine, stool, sputum, MRSA swabs).
  • Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff.

  • Nursing Procedures Support

  • Apply physical restraints and anti-embolic stockings as required.

  • Assist in minor surgical procedures under supervision.
  • Perform bladder scans and assist with last office care.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Healthcare Assistant in an inpatient or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care standards.
  • Compassionate, responsible, and a strong team player.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
