Pre-analytical Laboratory Specialist

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Preanalytical Lab Specialist to join our team.
- This position is open only to Singapore Citizens or Singapore PRs.**RESPONSIBILITIES:
**1. Procurement and Inventory Management**:
- Coordinate with Laboratory Manager the procurement of laboratory equipment, supplies, reagents, and consumables, ensuring timely availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and initiate reordering as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Work with Laboratory Manager to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and budgetary constraints.
**2. Shipping and Receiving**:
- Coordinate the shipping and receiving of laboratory samples, specimens, and other materials.
- Arrange appropriate packaging, labeling, and documentation for outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and distribute to the appropriate laboratory personnel.
- Collaborate with courier services and logistics providers to ensure timely and secure transportation of materials.
- Maintain shipment records and track deliveries to ensure accuracy and traceability.
**3. Equipment and Facility Management**:
- Coordinate the maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory equipment, liaising with service providers as needed.
- Manage equipment inventories, including tracking location, usage, and maintenance history.
- Assist in the setup and installation of new laboratory equipment, ensuring proper placement and functionality.
- Collaborate with facility management to address any logístical issues related to the laboratory space.
**4. Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logístical activities, including procurement, inventory, and shipping.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, supply utilization, and logístical performance indicators.
- Provide regular updates to laboratory management regarding logístical operations, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize efficiency.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Fresh graduates may apply.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and tracking shipments.
- Knowledge of laboratory operations and equipment is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve logístical challenges.
Familiarity with shipping regulations, transportation requirements, and hazardous material handling is a plus.
