The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support our Asia regulatory initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in food science, food technology, or nutrition to gain hands-on experience in the regulatory field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Product Registration Support:

  • Consolidate and complete necessary documents to support new and re-registrations.

  • Update renewed product registrations in Smartsheet.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date with local regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Initiatives Support

  • Support Asia regulatory initiatives by compiling and analyzing regulatory and product information data.

  • Consolidate and report findings, through initial written reports to the regulatory lead of Asia.
  • Horizon Scanning and Research:

  • Monitor government and key intelligence websites for regulatory and policy updates, particularly in the food-health products interface.

  • Focus on topics such as front-of-pack and back-of-pack nutritional labelling, functional & active ingredients approval, health claims substantiation, e-commerce requirements, sustainability (packaging) initiatives, etc.
  • Conduct desktop research on emerging food regulatory topics, including sustainability.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Formal education in nutrition/food science/food technology (Diploma or Degree)
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
