Production Team Leader

Primary Objectives of this Position:

To lead and supervise a team to ensure smooth daily operations of food manufacturing processes, adhering to production schedules and maintaining the cleanliness of the area while ensuring health and safety obligations are met. To proactively improve the safety culture of the department and to promote continuous improvement of the processes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Fill in daily operation checklist online and scale calibration form.
  • Ensure the production targets for the team are met and food products meet required production standards
  • Monitor the set-up and cleanliness of work stations, schedules work activities and supervises the team on their preparation of ingredients and food products as well as packaging.
  • Monitor equipment performance levels and conducts basic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Lead the team to do the housekeeping to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene at production that fulfil the GMP requirements.
  • Ongoing control of materials inventory, through quarterly stock takes, and regular cycle counting.
  • The In Process Identification Slip and packing sheets of products as per issued job sheet, and in accordance with specific procedures designated for production which are located in the Production Identification & Traceability
  • The maintenance, operation and cleanliness of the work area in accordance with Food Safety System requirements.
  • Adherence to all standards of quality and hygiene of product in accordance with Food Safety System requirements.

Skills required:

  1. Vocational training (NITEC and above) in the chemical field OR with experience in production in the chemical industry.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively.
  3. Multi-lingual will be advantageous.
  4. Experience in handling a team.
  5. No allergies to strong aromas.
  6. Comfortable lifting 20 – 25kg.
  7. Able to commit overtime when required.

  • Working hours is from 8:30am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Frequent shuttle bus schedule from/to Lakeside MRT and Buroh Lane
