What the role is

In this role, you will join the Security and Preparedness Department (SPD) which is responsible for developing the Ministry's preparedness plans for various contingency situations. You will mainly be responsible for developing emergency plans that strengthen overall resilience for Singapore, analysing data and engaging agencies to strengthen existing processes. You will also help strengthen MOM's own crisis plans so that MOM is prepared to deal with any crisis that may happen.

What you will be working on

To study and strengthen the manpower resilience for Singapore by working with the respective agencies to develop their manpower resilience plans. This will involve regular engagement of the government agencies to understand their ecosystem and corresponding data relating to manpower resilience. In your course of work, you will:

• Present findings and assessments based on robust data analysis.

• Collaborate with respective agencies to develop manpower resilience plans for their sectors.

• Have regular engagement of government agencies to study and analyse both their own manpower resilience and that of their respective sectors.

• Work with departments to facilitate the formulation of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to address new threats.

• Be responsible for strengthening MOM's crisis management framework through identifying key organisational risks, developing comprehensive contingency plans, and establishing effective command and control structures to ensure robust crisis response capabilities.

• Experience in industry engagement and emergency preparedness work would be a bonus.

• Positive individual with ability to build good relationships with respective stakeholders, and able to write and present well.

• Ability to manipulate and analyze data.

• Ability to be resilient under pressure especially in times of crises.
