Museum, Singapore Singapore Red Cross Full time $30,000 - $60,000 per year

About the Programme

The Red Cross Youth is a part of the Singapore Red Cross Society that specializes in developing the core values of compassion, professionalism, and passion in its youth volunteers. It was first established in 1952 and in 2024, it has amassed more than 5000 volunteers in Singapore. The Red Cross Youth currently consists of 4 different divisions: Red Cross Juniors, Uniformed Group, Chapters, and Youth @Community; each division targeting a different set of youths. All Red Cross Youth members and volunteers are also a part of the larger International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as they are groomed to become the next generation of humanitarian leaders.

RCY Red Cross Junior was launched in the 2018. RCJ offers a two-year activity-based curriculum, Project C.A.R.E and a service learning component where juniors (preschoolers) partake in various volunteering activities and learning journeys. The holistic curriculum, Project C.A.R.E. marked SRC's foray into learning programme development for the young ones. Values of care, respect and life skills are inculcated to give the juniors a head start towards personal and community resilience. The RCJ Programme comprises two years curriculum: where the First Year (K1 – 5 years old) focuses on three learning areas of Care for the Elderly, Care for the Differently Abled and Care for Safety (centred in First Aid Learning) and the Second Year (K2 – 6 years old) enables children and their parents to participate in activities and learning journeys hosted/managed by RCY.
