About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building Technician / Maintenance to join our facilities team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our premises. Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventive and routine maintenance tasks on all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and HVAC equipment, to maximize longevity and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Promptly respond to maintenance requests, diagnose system failures (e.g., lighting, power trips, water leaks, minor machinery faults), and execute necessary repairs.
  • Facility Oversight: Conduct regular walk-through inspections to identify and report potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Vendor Coordination: Assist in supervising and coordinating third-party contractors and vendors performing specialized work (e.g., major HVAC repairs, fire system checks).
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an appropriate stock of common spare parts and consumables.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in facility maintenance, building services, or a related technical role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of standard building infrastructure, including basic electrical wiring, plumbing systems, and air-conditioning units (ACMV).
  • Certification: Nitec/Higher Nitec in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Management) or equivalent technical qualification is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Attitude: Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and able to perform duties that require lifting, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces when necessary.
