What the role is

You play a pivotal role in safeguarding Singapore's defence and security interests by conducting research to help the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) understand the latest developments in the coast guard space and its implications.

What you will be working on

Conduct research on coast guards of interest and the broader coast guard space
- Synergise research with academic and military research partners
- Prepare research products to apprise RSN, MINDEF and Whole-of-Government (WoG) leadership on key developments

Challenge(s)
- Understanding the implications to the RSN and its concerns and interests with regard to the coast guard space

What we are looking for

Education in Political Studies or International Relations
- At least 5 years experience in defence relations or research jobs is preferred
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills
- Interest and good understanding of geopolitical issues
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Good interpersonal skills
