Job Purpose:

The Associate will assist with day-to-day functions of Group Treasury covering Asia Pacific (ex-China, HK), Middle East, Africa and America regions. The position is part of the Finance & Treasury Centre (FTC) team in Singapore and would work in close partnership with Group Treasury teams in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

It is ideal to have some basic knowledge in working capital financing and trade finance, along with strong communication skills to liaise directly with internal stakeholders and international banks.

The associate will support team managers on an ongoing basis, at the same time there will be sufficient opportunities to learn from existing transactions, attend professional courses and having meetings with bankers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform daily treasury operational matters to ensure accuracy of the record
  • Manage Company's bank accounts and dealing with daily Bank Journal & monthly bank statement reconciliation
  • Manage SG bank credit facility and periodically update the latest information
  • Maintain professional business partnering relationships with banks
  • Local financing - support international subsidiaries in various regions
  • End to end support on financing, cash management, FX, etc.
  • Perform bench marking analysis for financing costs across markets
  • Support the Treasury and Finance teams for relevant matters
  • Ad hoc support for other activities as required and directed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent preferred
  • Ideally 2 years of relevant corporate treasury experience, but fresh graduates with a strong financial acumen are also welcome to apply
  • Enjoy analytical work and detail-oriented
  • Good understanding of accounting and corporate finance concepts
  • Flexible and adaptable personality; enjoys problem solving
  • A team player with keenness to learn and work in cross-functional task forces
  • Good oral and desktop presentation skills using relevant apps
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and oral) – Any additional languages considered as advantage. (Mandarin is required for communication with colleagues in Hong Kong and China)
  • Occasional business travel is required
