We are seeking an exceptional physical card design specialist to enhance our physical brand touchpoints at Wise. You will design a portfolio of cards and carriers, collaborating with product managers, designers, analysts, and researchers in our Spend Experience team. Our goal is to deliver best-in-class experiences, and we need someone with the skills and drive to match that ambition.

Wise has revolutionized global money movement with a robust payments infrastructure. Our cards are a key component of our multi-currency account offering, providing users with a seamless spending experience worldwide.

As a Senior Design Specialist, you will lead the design and development of our physical card products, working at the intersection of brand, packaging, and digital product design to create cards that customers are proud to carry and use.

You will oversee the process from conception to production, working closely with the Cards Operation team and manufacturing partners. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact complex user experiences that combine digital and physical elements, enhancing the experience for millions of customers.

Scope Of Work
  • Conceptualize and design debit cards that reflect our brand values and appeal to our global customer base
  • Design card carriers and packaging to create delightful experiences while meeting regulatory standards
  • Lead design projects from concept through to production, ensuring high-quality execution
  • Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and production partners to maintain design integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand, Product, Compliance, and Operations to align designs with business strategies
  • Stay informed about materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability practices in card production
Qualifications

A bit about you:

  • 7+ years of experience in graphic and package design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing physical brand touchpoint designs
  • Exceptional visual design skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of accessibility considerations in physical design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Bonus Skills
  • Knowledge of card manufacturing processes, materials, finishes, and constraints
  • Familiarity with scheme (Visa/MC) branding guidelines
  • Knowledge of innovative card technologies (dynamic CVV, biometric cards, etc.)
  • Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools
  • Proficiency in Figma
