Our client is a reputable interior furnishing and design solutions company specialising in commercial and corporate projects. They are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyer to support purchasing, material management, and supplier coordination activities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth project execution from sourcing to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review client and designer specifications to accurately measure and calculate material quantities based on floor plan drawings.
  • Prepare and present product samples, detailed quotations, and pricing proposals for client approval.
  • Manage purchase orders (PO) and delivery orders (DO) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely fulfilment of materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
  • Source quotations from existing and new suppliers, evaluate pricing and quality, and recommend awards for procurement.
  • Follow up on quality issues, address product complaints, and liaise with suppliers and engineers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Process purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), and related documentation in a timely and organised manner.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, cost tracking, and supplier performance logs.
  • Support the team in any other ad-hoc duties or project coordination tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in any discipline.
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, interior fit-out, or construction-related fields preferred.
  • Able to read and interpret construction and interior design drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; a proactive team player who can also work independently.
  • Positive attitude, energetic, and committed to delivering quality outcomes.
