Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all M&E works are executed on schedule and in full compliance with industry standards, codes of practice, and safety regulations.
  • Liaise and build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to resolve M&E challenges and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary site teams—including M&E engineers, structural engineers, and architectural coordinators—to meet quality benchmarks and client expectations.
  • Represent the M&E team in all site-based CCM meetings and provide timely resolution to technical issues.
  • Manage the submission and approval process for M&E shop drawings, materials, and method statements, ensuring alignment with the master schedule.
  • Supervise M&E staff and subcontractors to ensure work is carried out according to approved plans and specifications.
  • Review and report on M&E Variation Orders and project progress to headquarters.
  • Conduct site inspections, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot technical issues in M&E systems.
  • Analyze consultant specifications and drawings to identify discrepancies; issue RFIs and coordinate resolutions with consultants and clients.
  • Organize and lead monthly M&E coordination meetings, overseeing all aspects of M&E planning and execution.
  • Address and resolve M&E-related issues during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
  • Collaborate with consultants and architects on Design & Build (D&B) projects, contributing to technical design and execution strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in M&E coordination within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and technical standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project outcomes
