Roles and Responsibilities of Assistant / M&E Manager

  1. Development and Implementation of M&E Systems:

  2. Design and implement M&E frameworks, strategies, and systems tailored to the organization's goals and objectives.

  3. Ensure that M&E plans align with program goals and outcomes.

  4. Reporting and Documentation:

  5. Prepare regular M&E reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal and external stakeholders.

  6. Ensure that reports are comprehensive, concise, and aligned with the organization's requirements and expectations.

  7. Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects

  8. Capacity Building and Training:

  9. Build the M&E capacity of project teams, including training staff on M&E tools, processes, and best practices.

  10. Provide guidance to program staff on how to integrate M&E activities into their daily operations.

  11. Performance Monitoring:

  12. Monitor program activities to ensure they are on track and achieving the intended results.

  13. Conduct regular field visits to monitor program progress and validate data.

  14. Provide regular feedback to program teams, highlighting successes and areas needing improvement.

  15. Stakeholder Engagement:

  16. Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., program staff, beneficiaries, donors) to ensure that M&E activities are understood and well-executed.

  17. Communicate program progress, challenges, and results effectively to external stakeholders, such as partners

  18. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  19. Ensure that M&E activities comply with organizational and ethical standards.

  20. Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure the integrity and reliability of data.

  21. Learning and Knowledge Management:

  22. Promote a culture of learning within the organization by disseminating key M&E findings and sharing knowledge.

  23. Foster the use of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in program design and implementation.

  24. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  25. Contribute to the planning and budgeting of M&E activities, ensuring adequate resources are allocated for monitoring and evaluation tasks.

  26. Collaboration with External Partners:

  27. Collaborate with external evaluators, consultants, or partners when conducting large-scale evaluations.

  28. Facilitate partnerships with research institutions or academic entities to enhance M&E processes.

  29. Use of M&E Technology:

  30. Leverage technology and M&E software to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.

  31. Promote the use of digital tools for real-time data monitoring and decision-making.

Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 -8 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry in Singapore.
- Familiarity with local codes of practice (e.g., Singapore Standards, Code of Practice for Electrical Installations).
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical building systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with multiple disciplines.
