SingHealth Translation- and Application-driven RNA Research (STARR) Programme aims to bring together clinician-scientists and bench researchers within the SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC, leveraging our clinical and basic laboratory expertise and experience to develop a core programme within the campus. This is done to seamlessly support the pre-clinical discovery and validation leading to early phase clinical evaluation of RNA vaccines and therapeutics. We leverage core strengths in our AMC & connect to the wider national RNA biology ecosystem.

You will perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organising and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following: -

  • Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project. The standard and quality of testing is in accordance with ISO 15189 guidelines.
  • Conduct accurate monitoring, documenting for ISO accreditation and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings.
  • Assist in development, optimisation and validation of assays needed by STARR programme.
  • Assist in sample receipt/collection, inventory management and analyse clinical samples from clinical trials supported by STARR programme.
  • Assist in laboratory administrative duties, including but not limited to procurement of laboratory consumables, equipment maintenance, establish risk assessments and laboratory safety standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with general upkeep of laboratory needs, maintain safety protocols, provide technical support and establish work procedures to ongoing research projects.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences / Life Sciences.
  • Demonstrated basic competencies, skills and expertise in laboratory research skills.
  • Possess knowledge of molecular and cellular biology.
  • Able to effectively multi-task and work on different projects concurrently.
  • A strong team player who is highly motivated, detail-oriented and can work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and diverse workforce.
