Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform A-Z task of sea import shipments.

  • Preparation of import documents prior to vessel arrival.

  • Ensure prompt release of shipment from carrier/co-loaders.

  • Timely follow up/coordinate/communicate shipment information with stakeholders (ie subcontractors, shipping lines, shipping agents, freight forwarders, customers and overseas offices).

  • Meeting customer's specific clearance expectation and delivery timeline.

  • Maintain good relationship and excellent customer service level with customer.

  • Correspond and follow up with origin whenever required.

  • Handle dispute for customer and/or shipping lines.

  • Perform ad-hoc duties/tasks as assigned by the company.

KPI fulfillment:

  • Billing Timeliness – 5 days upon vessel ETA

  • Billing Accuracy – 5% tolerance

  • Intercompany invoices – 7 days upon receipt

  • Auto Rate – 60%

  • Milestones update for Global account

  • File closing – weekly

  • Job recognition – 98%

  • Paperless process

Job Requirements:

  • Completed "O" Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma in Logistics/Transportation or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in handling sea import shipments in freight forwarding industry.

  • Good command of English, communication skills and computer literacy (MS Office).

  • Knowledge of using Trade-net, CargoWise system a definite advantage.

  • Good customer service skills and a team player.

  • Meticulous, committed and a fast learner.

  • Positive and can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
