Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee a boys' hostel in Singapore. The Head of Home will manage daily operations, ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents, and lead a team dedicated to the welfare and development of young residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for programs, case management, and operations.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff; oversee performance and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to standards, draft and update SOPs, and manage incident reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and liaise with authorities as required.
- Coordinate with agencies and community partners for resources, programs, and learning opportunities.
- Ensure departmental goals align with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years in managerial or leadership roles within social services or residential care.
- Strong knowledge of social work interventions, safeguarding, team leadership, and program management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to youth development and the ability to inspire and lead a team.
