About the role

As a well-known and well-established Food Manufacturer with retail fronts, we are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager (Commercial) to join our team. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial team to drive new business development and expanding our commercial partnerships.

With a focus on strategic growth, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's success.

What you'll be doing

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building
  2. Develop and execute effective sales strategies to secure new commercial partnerships and contracts
  3. Negotiate and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached
  4. Lead and manage the Commercial team to drive targets and sales results
  5. Oversee the implementation of new commercial initiatives and partnerships
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery
  7. Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business development strategies
  8. Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on the progress of commercial initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 8 years of experience in new business development, commercial sales, or a related field
  2. Proven track sales record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business deals
  3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  4. Thorough understanding of the sales process, market trends, and competitive landscape
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  6. Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  7. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
