About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator, Architecture to join our dynamic team in the West Region. As a key member of our Architecture division, you will play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing design projects for our prestigious portfolio of clients. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work for a leading global construction firm and contribute to the delivery of complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Design Coordination:

·       Liaise between architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to align design intent with technical and regulatory requirements.

·       Organize and document design meetings, ensuring clear communication of updates and action items.

  1. Documentation Management:

·       Oversee the preparation, review, and distribution of architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

·       Ensure all design submissions comply with local codes, client standards, and project timelines.

  1. Quality Control:

·       Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to design specifications.

·       Review by Material submission and Shop drawing submitted by subcontractor and ensure meet Specification.

·       Arrange subcon meet with consultant to obtain approval for proposed shopdrawing and material

·       Address design discrepancies and propose solutions in collaboration with the project team.

  1. Stakeholder Collaboration:

·       Facilitate coordination across disciplines (MEP, structural, etc.) to resolve clashes and optimize design efficiency.

·       Assist clients/consultants in obtaining statutory approvals (e.g., BCA, URA)

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Design Coordinator, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in architectural design coordination, project management, and stakeholder management
  • Strong technical skills in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and the ability to interpret and analyse technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Thorough understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and project management tools
