The role requires a candidate with experience in managing a team of muti-disciplinary subject matter experts consist of Civil Structural, Architect, Extra Low Voltage, HVAC & Fire, Electrical  to meet reliability and availability requirement, efficiency & sustainability benchmark (PUE, WUE, CUE), international best practices, regulatory requirement, safety in design, cost target and speed to market.

Key Responsibilities

He/She is accountable for completing multiple projects in parallel (both greenfield and fit out), within budget and program. The project will span across regional metros.

The candidate will oversees the planning and design of data centre infrastructure, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and cooling system to ensure reliability, and compliance.

Key responsibilities include developing design standards, managing capacity and energy efficiency, leading design teams, and providing technical guidance during construction and commissioning phases. The role requires a strong background in mission-critical or data centre design and proficiency with tools such as Revit.

The role will involve travelling to site to ensure the method of construction, site coordination and equipment performance meets design criteria, concurrent maintainability and reliability standards.

Key deliverables for the role are as follows :

·       General Contractor tender document and evaluation

·       Regulatory compliance

·       Standardized design

·       Responsible for meeting the technical requirements of built to suit design

·       Responsible for the performance of team members.

·       Responsible for the planning of resources to meet project requirements.

· st level of escalation and coordinator with internal and external stakeholders.

·       Technical reviewer for master planning, conceptual design, and detailed design.

·       Technical reviewer for LLE and General Contractor evaluation.

·       Technical reviewer for disciplinary main specifications.

·       Technical reviewer for project-specific supplementary scope of work and specifications.

·       Initiator of design improvement from lesson learnt.

·       Reviewer of new equipment and product qualification.

·       Reviewer of inspection checklists and test scripts.

·       Develop specialised engineering team responsibility matrix.

·       Reviewer of scope demarcation matrix between Long Lead Equipment suppliers & installation contractors.

·       Oversee project design delivery and construction quality

Requirements

·       Proven design experience across regional metros

·       Professional Engineer/Registered Architect with practicing certificate

· years in design consultancy with at least 10 years in principal engineer position

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, leadership & influencing skills

·       Experienced in Design Bid Build, Design & Build and other design delivery methodology

·       Experience in hyper scale Data Center is preferred

·       Proficient in English and Mandarin

·       Willing to be relocated & travel on project requirement
