The Commercial Learning Manager is responsible for assessing and addressing training needs within the Commercial division to ensure alignment with business strategy. This role designs and delivers learning programs aimed at enhancing selling skills, product knowledge, and commercial capabilities, with the objective of driving sales performance and improving customer engagement. The incumbent will initially operate as an individual contributor, with the potential to establish and lead a Commercial Training function by FY2027.

Collaboration is central to this role, as it works closely with the Commercial Leaders and the Group HC Learning & Organization Development team to implement learning initiatives that support organizational development objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Duties:

·       Design, develop, and implement comprehensive and blended learning programs—including classroom, online, and social learning experiences—for Bargainable employees and Commercial teams by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and business leaders to define clear learning objectives.

·       Establish, enhance, and manage all systems, SOPs, training materials, assets, and processes required for effective training delivery, building the function from the ground up.

·       Conduct targeted product and sales training sessions to ensure deep understanding of beverage products, features, and benefits, while equipping team members with sales, negotiation, and account management skills aligned with business objectives and promotional campaigns.

·       Promote, communicate, and support both open enrollment and invitation-only programs to maximize participation and support workforce development.

·       Monitor, assess, and report on training effectiveness and employee engagement by gathering feedback, tracking performance metrics, and integrating insights into continuous improvement initiatives.

·       Foster strong relationships with business stakeholders, internal and external partners, and vendors to ensure the alignment, acceptance, and relevance of learning solutions.

·       Stay well-informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences in the beverage FMCG sector to ensure training content remains current and impactful.

·       Support new product launches and promotional events with tailored training initiatives, and contribute to talent pipeline development by mentoring and supporting prospective internal coaches.

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Adult Education and Lifelong Learning or related field.

·       At least 10 years of sales training experience in FMCG (preferably beverages) with expertise in needs analysis, curriculum development, and program delivery.

·       Proven experience for at least 4-5 years in a leadership role within Learning & Development in a Commercial Setting. Priority will be given to candidates who have prior experience in commercial start up experience.

·       Exceptional ability to build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and facilitate effective group sessions.

Preferred Requirements:

·       Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment.

·       Strong track record in building and leading training functions, including team management, end-to-end program design, and establishing systems, SOPs, and training assets from scratch.

·       Proficient in the use of Learning Management Systems for content deployment and completion tracking.

·       Familiar with integrating competency frameworks and develop training programs that support behavioral change into learning processes.

·       Experienced in vendor management, including negotiation and quality assurance.

·       Shows project management ability.

·       Organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks.

·       Knowledgeable about the FMCG industry, sales processes, and food environments in Singapore.

·       Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
