At Mott MacDonald, we are dedicated to shaping a better world for generations to come, and we are looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Singapore. In this role, you will be working within a tight-knit Finance team committed to the Asia business unit, with links into our wider APAC regional finance team and Shared Service Center based in Bangkok in managing the financial accounts for Singapore and Malaysia.

Job description:

The Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in driving financial performance, providing commercial insight, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This is not just about reporting numbers, but about partnering with leaders to shape business outcomes. You will be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating financial information into clear actions, and helping to steer the Unit towards growth and profitability. The role requires a strong mix of technical finance capability, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate and influence with impact at all levels of a large multinational organisation.

Candidate specification:

Clarify essential and desirable criteria (Such as mandatory qualifications and/or achievements, experience, competencies, technical knowledge and skills, communication skills, systems and tools, or security clearance for example)

Essential:

• Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering role, ideally within a large multinational or complex matrix organisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at senior level.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills — able to simplify complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
• Solid technical grounding in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar ERP systems).
• Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).

Desirable with experience in project-based or consulting environments (engineering, infrastructure, or professional services). Exposure to driving transformation initiatives such as system implementations, process improvement, or business change.
