We are seeking a talented individual to join the Marsh Specialty team in Singapore. This hybrid role requires at least three days a week in the office and reports to the Marine, Cargo & Logistics Leader, Asia. This is a leadership position responsible for supporting and assisting the Asia Marine Leader to service and expand the Marine opportunities within the region, with a specific focus on Protection & Indemnity as a specialist class. The appointed candidate will work closely with the Asia Marine leader and the Regional Marine teams in servicing major shipping clients, coordinating market placements strategies, developing strategic growth plans, and supporting and driving sales and placement initiatives.
We will count on you to:
- Oversee the development and delivery of a holistic strategy for major Asian shipping clients.
- Work closely with the Marine leader in developing strategic growth plans, support and drive sales and placement initiatives across the region.
- Work with sales and industry leaders in country to position the Marine product line firmly into strategic and client discussions/plans.
- Ensure Marine clients have access to and sight of the Global Marine network and the wider MMC network
- Assist in the oversight of the team's placement activities and support with strategic and market discussions when appropriate.
- Lead larger client enquiries to ensure best solutions are provided.
- In conjunction with the client and/or relevant stakeholder, develop broking plans in response to client needs and gain client's approval.
- Negotiate and evaluate quotes from the carriers and present recommendations to clients.
- Visit existing clients and new prospects where appropriate.
- Deliver daily service to clients for the specific product line that assures that their risk management needs are appropriately met.
- Implement/manage and maintain a quality post-sales service plan as appropriate.
- Adhere to Marsh Professional Standards and Marsh Excellence protocols.
- Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients and participate in presentations to prospective clients.
- Keep abreast of changing market conditions and informs client executives, brokers and/or clients of major development affecting various types of coverage.
- Identify the need for new products and suggest solutions to clients.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in any discipline.
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience in Marine broking or underwriting.
- Technical expertise in Marine Protection and Indemnity.
- Solid insurance brokerage, account management, servicing and sales skills.
- Ambition, a solution focus and strong skills in client relationship management
- Excellent project management skills
