What you will be working on:

We are seeking Senior Associates to handle prosecution and corporate advisory matters. With good performance, you may gain exposure to other legal functions such as tax legislation, tax advisory, and tax litigation.

As a Senior Associate focusing on prosecution of tax offenders and corporate advisory matters, you will be expected to:

  • Provide clear and effective directions on investigations and prosecutions, and prosecute tax offences in court.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate counsel issues necessary for IRAS's functions.

You will report to the Chief Legal Officer and the Director of the Prosecution, Corporate & Legislation Branch.

What we are looking for:
  • Excellent law degree and called to the Singapore Bar.
  • At least 3 years of Post-Qualification Experience.
  • Experience in prosecution or defence work, or keen interest in acquiring prosecution assessment skills and court craft.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Analytical, independent, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to consider issues from a systemic perspective.
  • Desire to serve in public service and be a team player.
