You will be working on the development of Children and Teens services and programmes at Punggol Regional Library as an SparkLab Intern under Programmes & Services.

[What you will be working on]

  • Contribute to the enhancement and development of SparkLab resources and visitor experiences.
  • Assist in designing and implementing new evaluation and feedback methods for the SparkLab programme.
  • Support the integration of innovative learning approaches, such as storytelling, into SparkLab activities.
  • Participate in projects aimed at increasing visitor engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with the team to research, plan, and execute various improvement initiatives for SparkLab.
  • Assist the Project Manager in stakeholder engagement, documentation, and presentation preparation.

[What we are looking for]

  • Open to students from all disciplines; students with a background in STEM education are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication and writing skills, with the ability to create engaging content for children and adults.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and hands-on learning.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for content creation and basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience with or interest in storytelling techniques and their application in educational settings.
  • Ability to analyse data and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of or interest in makerspaces, STEM education, or interactive learning environments is advantageous.
