We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer (Backend) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be integral to designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable web applications that serve our growing user base. Your primary focus will be on the backend, but you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with front-end developers to create a seamless user experience.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of professional experience, with a solid understanding of server-side programming, API development, and database management. Familiarity with cloud services and microservices architecture is a plus. You will engage in the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to deployment and monitoring, ensuring that our systems are performant, reliable, and secure.

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.

Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Implement security and data protection measures throughout the development process.

Focus on secure development and deployment, particularly for on-premises environments.

Monitor and troubleshoot application performance issues, implementing solutions as necessary.

Ensuring code quality and adherence to project standards.

Collaborate with the product team to understand requirements and design interfaces that are intuitive and user-friendly

Develop and maintain unit tests and functional tests for frontend code

Troubleshoot and debug backend issues and provide timely solutions

Being part of a fast-growing and early stage start-up, you will be working together with the CTO and have the opportunity to take ownership of key parts of our web application, make important technical decisions, and build a world-class product from the ground up.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Great interpersonal and communication skills.

2-4 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role, with a focus on backend development.

Strong knowledge of FastAPI (or similar Python frameworks) and (or similar front-end frameworks).

Experience with database management systems like MySQL and MongoDB.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services and async development - celery

Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and on-premises deployments.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications/

Good understanding of security practices

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Great to have

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or Github Actions.

Experience with unit and E2E testing frameworks.

Experience working within a Linux environment with scripting skills (bash, shell).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
