Job Summary:

The Building Technician is responsible for basic maintenance, repairs, and daily support to ensure the building and its systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine building inspections.
  • Handle basic repairs in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support contractors and monitor their work when needed.
  • Maintain safety equipment and report hazards.
  • Assist with general facility tasks such as room setups and equipment moves.
  • Keep maintenance records and inventory of tools and supplies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or technical training in maintenance or related fields.
  • 3 years of building or facility maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Ability to use hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
