SEO Manager

We are seeking an ambitious, data-driven, and forward-thinking SEO Manager to be the driving force behind our organic search strategy.

This is a critical leadership role that requires deep expertise in both traditional and advanced, AI-influenced SEO practices. The primary objective is absolute organic search dominance: securing and maintaining the #1 position for our core target keywords across Google's traditional SERP, AI Overviews (SGE/Generative AI Features), and future AI-driven search modes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategy & Vision:

• Execute a comprehensive SEO strategy focused on achieving and maintaining the #1 rank across all targeted Google properties (SERP, AI Overview, AI Mode).
• Stay ahead of the curve regarding Google algorithm updates, especially those related to Generative AI, SGE (Search Generative Experience), and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Identify and pioneer new SEO tactics specifically designed to optimize content for AI consumption, extraction, and presentation in Overviews and AI-driven interfaces.

2. AI & Generative Search Optimization:

• Lead the development of content structures and formats that are highly digestible and preferred by Google's generative AI models for inclusion in AI Overviews.
• Implement advanced schema markup, structured data, and content organization techniques to provide the clarity and context necessary for AI aggregation.
• Monitor and analyze how competitors are being featured in AI Overviews and adapt our strategy to surpass their performance.
• Work closely with the content team to develop "answer-driven" content that directly addresses user queries, anticipating AI model needs.

3. Traditional SERP & Technical SEO:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawl budget optimization, page speed (Core Web Vitals), mobile responsiveness, and internal linking structure.
• Lead in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and intent mapping to identify high-value, high-intent terms.
• Manage the entire backlink profile, focusing on acquiring high-authority, relevant links to boost Domain Rating (DR) and Page Authority.
• Ensure the website is fully optimized for E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) to build a strong foundation for both traditional and AI rankings.

4. Performance & Reporting:

• Provide regular, detailed reports on organic search performance, clearly articulating successes, failures, and next steps to executive leadership.
• Utilize advanced SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, custom AI ranking trackers) to monitor and diagnose performance issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in information science, information architecture, data science, data analytics, linguistics, natural language processing, or industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of dedicated SEO experience, with a proven track record of achieving top SERP positions for highly competitive keywords.
• Demonstrable experience or strong understanding of optimizing for Google's Generative AI features (SGE/AI Overviews) is mandatory.
• Expert-level knowledge of technical SEO including deep knowledge of query semantics, schema markup, and NLP-based content structuring (using keyword embeddings, co-occurrence, and salience).
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
• Proficiency with leading SEO software and analytics platforms.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across content, development, and marketing teams.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and SEO automation.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and its application in SEO.
• Certifications in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or advanced SEO training programs.
