about the role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director for a pivotal role based in Singapore. This individual will play an instrumental role in shaping the financial future of the client's operations across the APAC region. The successful candidate will oversee the entire spectrum of financial management, encompassing accounting, General Ledger, and financial reporting for all entities throughout APAC. Key responsibilities include leading and developing local finance teams across the APAC region to ensure seamless business operations, and consolidating group financials in strict adherence to international accounting standards. The Finance Director will also partner strategically with the Group CFO and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, investments, and operational growth. Ensuring timely and accurate statutory reporting and regulatory compliance in each operating country is crucial, as is effectively managing external audits across various jurisdictions to ensure clean audit results. Furthermore, this role involves implementing and strengthening internal controls, financial systems, and reporting processes group-wide, alongside monitoring cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure the robust financial health of the organization. Ultimately, the Finance Director will be responsible for providing crucial financial insights and performance analysis to guide executive decision-making.

skills and experience needed
The ideal candidate for this Finance Director role will bring a wealth of expertise and a proven track record. They must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation, along with a CPA, CA, or other professional accounting qualification. A strong technical background in accounting, tax, and country-level compliance across the APAC region is essential. Significant experience in managing distributed finance teams and multi-country reporting structures is also required. A solid understanding of IFRS and local GAAPs in major APAC markets is a prerequisite, as is a proven track record in financial leadership, team development, and effectively partnering with senior stakeholders. Experience in the infrastructure, real estate, or data centre industries will be considered a strong advantage. Finally, the ability to comfortably deal with China-based stakeholders is also highly valued.
