Senior/ Engineer (Mechanical), Facilities Management
Reports to: Senior Manager (Mechanical)

JOB PURPOSE

  • Execute and manage FM services for Mechanical Engineering and non-clinical equipment.

  • Assist in operation, maintenance, modification, and replacement activities.

  • Monitor and audit KPIs of maintenance services provided by vendors.

  • Support cyclical and improvement projects within the department and hospital.

  • Implement and manage projects as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing maintenance contracts for electrical systems systems such as Central Chilled Water Cooling System, Air Handling Unit, Fan Coil Unit, Standalone AC Units, Mech Ventilation Systems, Heat Recovery & Hot Water System, HPVF / CDS Mechanical System, Building Management System and etc..

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling. Manage Maintenance Agent or Specialist Contractor day-to-day works for mechanical system such as Central Chilled Water Cooling System, Air Handling Unit, Fan Coil Unit, Standalone AC Units, Mech Ventilation Systems, Heat Recovery & Hot Water System, HPVF / CDS Mechanical System, Building Management System and etc.

  • Manage Maintenance Agents/Contractors for mechanical systems.

  • Ensure prompt service recovery for equipment breakdowns.

  • Assist in coordinating improvement projects and upgrades.

  • Provide advisory and support for maintenance team.

  • Prepare technical specifications and drawings for system improvements.

  • Lead and guide Engineering Assistant on day-to-day tasks.

  • Oversee outsourced maintenance team's safety practices.

  • Ensure prompt service recovery for equipment breakdowns.

  • Lead and guide Engineering Assistant.

  • Perform duties as assigned by HOD.

Job Requirement

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 1-4 years of experience or Diploma with 5-9 years' mechanical system experience for Engineer.

  • At least 5 years of experience or Diploma with at least 10 years' mechanical system experience for Senior Engineer.

  • Have prior experience with design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical systems & equipment will be an added advantage.

  • Prior experience in management of mechanical services and facilities operation as well as improvement projects will be an advantage.

  • Conversant in reading and interpreting architectural and M&E schematic drawings.

  • Conversant in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Ability to use 3D perspective drawing software such as BIM will be an added advantage;
