Principal Maintenance Specialist (support North Zone from Woodlands)

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance of District Cooling System (DCS) plants and Retail Cooling Monitoring (RCM) plants.
  • Carry out routine testing and inspections of plant equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs of plant equipment.
  • Support supervisor in calibrations and control troubleshooting as required.
  • Maintain event logs for plant maintenance activities.
  • Assist the supervisor in closing Work Orders / Service Requests in the Maintenance System.
  • Support emergencies / special operations as requested by the Operations team.
  • Supervise externally sourced maintenance and collaborate with vendors on maintenance or troubleshooting activities.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting at customer's heat exchanger stations.
  • Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly report submissions for monitoring and financial purposes.
  • Perform goods receipt and service entry functions in SAP.
  • Man the overall security system via the card access system and CCTV.
  • Uphold a safe operating environment and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, procedures, and government legislation. Understand safety requirements for Machine Guarding, LOTO, Permit to Work, Work at Height, Hot work, hazardous area classification, etc.
  • Rotate across different Keppel DHCS plant locations for training purposes, as assessed and decided by plant management.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • At least a NITEC certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Air-conditioning, or Control & Instrumentation with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance in facility management or process plants.
  • Basic knowledge of air-conditioning equipment functionality.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, P&ID diagrams, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Experience operating computerised BMS is an advantage; training will be provided.
  • Strong team-player with good communication skills.
  • Able to perform shift duties as required.
