About the role

As a Safety Coordinator at AL JABER HEAVY LIFT AND TRANSPORT PTE LTD', you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees. This contract position is located in the Tuas West Region and will involve overseeing the implementation of our comprehensive safety protocols across our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  2. Providing safety training and guidance to workers to promote a strong safety culture
  3. Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions
  4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices
  5. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution
  6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety performance

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant qualifications or certifications in occupational health and safety, such as a Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry
  3. Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation processes
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with workers at all levels
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous improvement in safety performance
  6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address safety-related challenges
