Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, setup, and management of on-premise and AWS Cloud infrastructure. The role involves end-to-end ownership of server and network design, deployment, and configuration, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure for large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure (On-Premise & AWS Cloud)

  • Assess, design, install, and configure on-premise servers.
  • Conduct site surveys across data centres, client offices, and designated systems in collaboration with stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Develop detailed site deployment design documents outlining installation plans, networking, rack space, and power requirements.
  • Coordinate with hardware providers for timely delivery and deployment of physical servers, appliances, and workstations.
  • Collaborate with Technical Architecture and Security teams to integrate infrastructure availability and SNMP traps into the observability platform (Dynatrace SaaS).
  • Install and configure required software on physical appliances, servers, and workstations.
  • Manage infrastructure transition from previous suppliers, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Handle infrastructure operations such as firewall configuration, user access management, patching, certificate/key management, and security compliance.

Network Configuration

  • Design and implement AWS Network Traffic Routing between multiple VPCs in collaboration with the Client Network Team.
  • Design and implement on-premises network routing between AWS environments, client data centres, and partner systems.
  • Collaborate with AWS and MPLS providers to set up and test External Link Landing Zone (LLZ) infrastructure, including Direct Connect and Network Virtual Appliances (NVA).
  • Document and integrate network observability components into Dynatrace SaaS for proactive monitoring.
  • Implement and validate routing configurations for traffic across AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Test and verify network connectivity and routing between all specified source and destination systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including both on-premise and AWS Cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) and on-premise data centre networking.
  • Proficient in server setup, network configuration, and system hardening.
  • Familiar with Dynatrace SaaS or other observability tools.
  • Experience managing firewall, patching, user access, and certificate management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
