Main Responsibilities
- Contributes as a team member on development projects carrying out assigned responsibilities in a timely, diligent, safe, and professional manner.
- Exercise strong Communication and Leadership skills to collaborate with BD worldwide teams, including BD external partners.
- Provide technical support to a wide range of problems pertaining to Systems Engineering programs and projects.
- Decomposes system requirements into straightforward subsystem and/or electrical specifications and rudimentary designs.
- Work effectively in a multi-functional team, in a collaborative manner to identify, communicate and mitigate project/program needs based on lifecycle phase.
- Use focused work methodologies utilizing scientific and statistical methods (six sigma) in resolving problems, devising tests, and setting specifications.
- Actively participates and provides guidance in the development efforts from concepts to implementation as a project member and an individual
- Understand and follow BD processes, design practices, and documentation templates
- Perform and/or direct engineering documentation in BD ERP: create/change material, BOM, plans, and reports; process change orders; and design reviews
- Time management of several assignments having varying scope and limited complexity
- Demonstrates and uses in-depth skills and knowledge in area of expertise
- Ensures proper design and development documentation as per ISO 13485/FDA QSR Quality System. Creates new SOPs and maintains all relevant SOPs to ensure strict compliance of R&D functional operation with ISO 13485/FDA QSR Quality System.
- Performs any other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; ideally in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems engineering, product development, or product design
- Knowledge and experience in the following electrical areas:

- Analog design and troubleshooting related to electromechanical devices
- Digital and firmware design and troubleshooting related to microcontrollers
- Basic software design
- Basic wired connectivity and communication with emphasis on LAN, RS485, I2C, and SPI.
- Basic wireless connectivity and communication with emphasis on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Basic understanding and implementation of RFID
- Basic product Safety and Compliance design and mitigation
- Knowledge in the use of the laboratory tools: oscilloscope, DMM, variable DC power supply, etc.
- Knowledge in the use of the computer tools: schematic capture, board layout, simulation, etc.
- Experience in Product Development for IoT medical devices
- Demonstrates interactive verbal and written communication skills and leadership

**Skills**:Minimum
- Complete understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of product development. General knowledge of related disciplines.
- Able to identify, break down and solve a variety of difficult technical problems.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently with a minimum of supervisor input.
- Disciplined and well-organized in documentation (plans, requirements, drawings, design reviews, and test methods).

- Knowledge of medical device regulations and practices (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, etc.).
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Skills in project planning and leadership.
