
Healthcare Attendant

1. **Caring of clients**
- To assist in food preparation and feeding of the clients under the supervision of nursing team
- To assist in transferring of the clients from dormitory to dining hall/activity area and vice versa
- To assist in maintaining the clients’ personal hygiene
- To assist in basic physiological monitoring of clients
- To assist nurses and other staff when required
- To attend to clients' needs in their daily living activities
- To observe clients’ rights and dignity
**2. **Others**
- To escort / accompany clients for follow up appointments / visits to doctors etc
- To coordinate with physiotherapy aide and assist in the residents’ daily exercise routine
- To facilitate and conduct activities programme e.g. art and craft as recommended by therapists
- To report any adverse behaviour of residents to staff nurse or therapists
- To attend meetings as required
- To maintain work operations by following policies and procedures
- To participate in quality improvement audits and fund raising activities
- To perform planned nursing/therapy interventions
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
**Experience**
- Minimum 1-3 years of related experience in healthcare, prior experience in working with people with special needs is preferred
**Qualifications**
- Minimum certificate in Nurseaid or equivalent
**Other Requirements**
- Able to converse in English and Mandarin, dialects would be advantageous
- Must be able to work 3 rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays

- Must be able to read and understand simple English.
- Ability to work well with others and passion in working with persons with special needs.
- Hardworking, patient, meticulous and responsible.
